Re: Ferret is in the vet, surgery today
I would have loved to see your FI giving the vet your ferret's blanket, favorite toys, snacks, etc. I've met your FI at the GTG in December and picturing him doing this made me laugh! It must have been so cute! Seriously, I'm sorry your ferret had to stay overnight - it's so stressful and sad at the same time. My cat was hospitalized in Valley Stream in November for several nights. We had to go to Long Beach while she was in the hospital (for a completely unrelated matter) and when the LIRR stopped at the Valley Stream stop, I got choked up thinking about little Edna in the animal hospital.

Re: Ferret is in the vet, surgery today
AliasPook - yes, Edna was in Central Vet on West Merrick Road. I spoke with the vet there and he was so sweet! He kept on referring to Edna as 'our little girl.' (Edna is a 14 year-old cat who is no more than 6 pounds and incredibly shy and skittish).
Chippatrid - I know you miss your ferret, but I think it's for the best that he stays overnight at the vets. Otherwise, if you're remotely like me, you would stay up all night watching his every move, making sure he's OK. God, how these pets make us worry so much!
