'Surprise First Dance'

Fh told me today he wants to do a surprise first dance (aka dance evolution...aka starts out slow song and switches to random song). I was always against this idea but FH has it planned out with the GM and it sounded pretty hillarious...it would definitely be a shock to everyone. At the same time, I don't want to ruin our 'moment.'

Has anyone done this or is thinking about it?

I really wanted to do it but my bridal party was against it and fh isn't gonna do it unless it's a group activity. lol

My FH wanted to do that too and at first I agreed, but then I had second thoughts and now I'm hoping it's out the door.

We'd have to do a special choreographed dance too and neither of us have any rhythm and we'd look ridiculous.

my mother actually offered to pay my brother to do it at his wedding 15 years ago.. he said no
so now she's been on my case about doing it... I won't and FH won't... besides, we've had our song and dance planned out since we STARTED DATING!

if she doesn't ease up we might do something similar.. but not our FIRST dance.. maybe have our bridal party up dancing to a slow song with us and then break out and do thriller or something.... not AS dramatic as doing it for our first dance, but whatever.

I really like that idea! Im trying to convince FH to do it but it doesn't look too promising lol

I am not a fan. You may look back and regret it. Maybe you can do something like this to a song that ins't your first dance.

We are not going to do this, but we were at a wedding last summer and they did it. The groom was not the best dancer, but their dance was cute and funny.
