My three close friends at work and my boss planned a fabulous surprise work shower for me today!
My boss fooled me by telling me that we had our quarterly meeting today and that it was mandatory for me to be there, but that there would be lunch. We walked over to the next building and when I walked in the room about 50 of my co-workers yelled 'Surprise'!!
They had the whole thing catered w/ lasagna, sandwiches, wraps, salad and anything else you could think of. My friend Linda made a 3-tiered cake!!
What a wonderful week! Family shower on Sunday and now work shower on Wednesday. I am exhausted from all the surprises but so happy!
how are you handling the guest list with people at work? It seems that so many were so nice, what are you doing?
also how is everyone handling parent's coworkers?

Surprise Work Shower!
I only invited my boss, my immediate co-worker, and my 4 best friends from work (the ones that threw me the shower). I am the office manager for our 20 locations so the list could get long. I just cut it down completely and people understand. I wanted a small wedding.
My dad lives/works in California so his co-workers aren't coming. My FI's mom invited only her boss and closest work friends. His Dad is retired NYPD so we know all his friends personally.
