We went to a gm's house for a BBQ yesterday and I was asking 2 of his friends' wives if they were going to go to the bachelorette party. Well 1 wife says, I don't think I can make the party but I'll definitely be at the shower that afternoon. Then she realized what she said & looks at me & says 'OMG was that supposed to be a surprise.'
This just proves my point, someone is going to slip & the bride will find out & personally I'd rather just know from the beginning

hahaha!! I would have felt horrible if i was the one to let the bride know about her shower...
as for the shower I would rather want to know about it then be surprised!!!

Guys, no my shower was never going to be a surprise b/c personally I feel every bride knows she's having one, so I don't personally get all the sneaking around & whispering just for 2 min that everyone gets to yell surprise (but that's just me). From day 1 MOH (who is from Texas & doesn't believe in surprise showers anyway) asked me where/when I'd like to have it. I prefer it this way
I was just stating IF it was supposed to be a surprise it wouldn't have.

I wish I knew when mine was-- that way I can be sure to look decent! Unfortunately, my MOH is determined that this should be an 'experience'. Whatever that means.

my shower wasn't a surprise b/c it slipped out from one of the guests and then one of the bm's. it's too hard to keep it a secret sometimes! i totally dint' sweat it. in fact, it helped me prepare/buy a dress and i already knew it was a tea party so i felt like i was prepared dress-wise for the shower.
