Just wondering how many girls asked their guys to officially start dating or going out?
Me and FH were seeing eachother and finally i said to him either we go out officially or I can see other people, he agreed and that was the day we officially started going out.
Just wondering if this was the norm or not

haha FH was home on christmas leave from his Marine training in Maryland...
well we were good family friends before we started dating for almost 12 yrs and he called my olderbrother and i up to go out to a bar the nigth before xmas eve and he was being all friendly but he always hugged me and was flirty with me- i never knew he liked me since we were 10 but everyone else knew--so it was no suprise to everyone when we started dating...
oh but we were at the bar and i had to go to the bathroom and then wanted to go have a cig outside- thats when i smoked dont anymore- and he followed me and i was waiting online for the bathroom and we were chatting and then he leaned in to me and whispered in my ear 'I have wanted to do this since i was 13 yrs old' and then planted a kiss on me!! :)
I was soo shocked and happy- it was weird to think a friend of 12 yrs (now 14 1/1) could just plant one on you and you instantly fall in love
but we hooked up and did 'the grown up' the whole 2 weeks he was home and the last nigth he asked me if i would be with him as his gf...but i was drunk and played it off as i fell asleep on his lap....and the next day right before he left i leaned over to him and said 'what do you want' and he said 'huh' and i said well between us and he looked at me like where was i last night lol and i whispered in his ear that i heard him but was nervous since he was leaving and we would have to do a long distant relationship...but then he looked me in the eyes and said 'i love you' and i said yes i will be your gf....

meggo! that's really how it happened with us too!!
we met nov 1st - made out and that was it
i called him when i came back to rochester for the DMB concert ... we hung out from dec 11 - 14th straight ... (did the nasty lol) and when he was leaving to go home and i was leaving to come back here, thats when he asked.
i just didnt wanna seem like a little hussy! lol
i had to test the goods. as my friends would say.

I did!
We were living in Washington DC where we met at work. He was dating someone else. After flirting continuously for like 3 months, I finally put my foot down. (I soooooo wanted to kiss him!)
I said 'it's either me or her, buster.'
He flew up to NY to break up with her that weekend.
We've been attached at the hip since.

We had been talking for about a week. He worked nights and would call me on his breaks even though i'd be sleeping. I was apparently having a dream that it was his birthday. So he calls and interrupts my dream. I answer saying Happy Birthday!! He was like, Uh do you know who this is. and i said YESS.. Brian, Happy Birthday, and the i woke up out of the whole dream state. I felt like such a Putz!!

I'm an 'other' too! And I kind of have a similar story to a few of you!
Me and FH were at a mixer with my sorority and his fraternity, and we started talking to each other after one of my sisters introduced us. So we're hanging out and all... getting drunk too, and I realized hey... this guy is really nice and cute, and I need a date for my formal! So I asked him! Then he says sure, and asks me if I'd like to go with him to his formal in Canada a week later, and me in my drunken stupor thought it was a fabulous idea to go away for the weekend with a guy I just met and said yes! And of course later that night we ended up doing something... I was mortified because I've never done that with a guy I wasn't officially dating before! The next day I realize, holy crap I'm going to Canada with this kid! Maybe he won't remember... but he called me that day and asked me about it and I'm like oh yeah sure, Canada sounds great... but i'm really like holy crap what am I gonna do? So after debating it and talking to my friends, I decided to tell him I was not going to Canada. I saw him on campus on Monday and explained to him how I felt uncomfortable going away with him for the weekend, and apoligized. I wasn't sure what his reaction would be but he was fine with it, and then asked if he could call me when he got back from the trip and we could do something. Sure enough Sunday evening when he was back from Canada he called me, and that night was our first date!
That's a story for the grandchildren!

he asked me the day he was leaving to go on vacation with his buddies. he wanted me to kno that i am his and that when he was going away he was mine...he didnt want me to worry i guess but it was sweet
and we had already been talkin/seeing eachother for 6 months already so it was awesome. i LOVED IT!

He asked me exactly a week after he first came up to me and asked me to hang out...We went out to dinner and after he said how he wants to be with just me and to be his girlfriend, it was cute.

No i remembered when i woke up.. It was like i was partially awake but still dreaming because in my dream, i took the sound of the phone ringing and in the dream i answered the phone and it was him

FH did. First, we bumped into each other at the supermarket. We knew each other years ago. Second, we bumped into each other at my job at the time CEC (meaning Chuck E. Cheese's) and exchange telephone numbers. Third, he called me and said come on let's go on a date and I accepted. After our 1st date, I knew we were meant to be. I told my mom and she smiled. Three months and one week later he proposed to me. This love is meant to be and it is always sparking. We are so happy and looking forward to our wedding day.
