Did you check out Carltun on the Park? It's not a mansion, but has that type of feel. It's located in Eisenhower Park (East Meadow). It was our second choice. I went to a wedding there and the food was wonderful (and I'm very picky) The cocktail hour was very classy- caviar, raw bar, Peking duck station, etc.

Don't know how much they cost. I'm trying to keep the reception under $25,000...with everything (service and tip) It still floors me how much these things cost. I don't mind the $130 pp as long as it's directly correlated with how much I get for that $130. Problem around the city, is that even $150 doesn't get you all that much!!

depending on the time of year, and the day, you can get a lot of the pricier places for $130. We are having our wedding on a Friday night in August-if we had it on Saturday, it would be $70 more per person. You get a lot at Carltun on the Park. We are using Carlyle on the Green and you get a lot there too.
