I actually just had lunch in Hauppage at a sushi place. I cant remember the name though :( It is on Route 111N right where Mama Pizzaria is...when I pass by i will get the name....

I like Kura Barn in Huntington and there is a new place open on Main Street in Huntington called Osaka, I think. It is a smaller place, good for take-out.

The one in Happauge is THE best place for sushi!! Its called Kytobuki (sorry spelled that really wrong!) There is also Tomo in Smithtown right across from what used to be the Smithtown movie theater next to the big bankThey have a website

There is also Gasho in Happauge. And in E. Northport on Jericho Nissen (takeout). Need anymore?

Kotobuki is top notch for Sushi - but they're more in middle Suffolk. Gasho is more Japanese/Chinese than Sushi.

I've eaten at 3 Sushi places in Huntington...Kura Barn and 2 others (brain fart) - all were very good. Interested in trying Osaka soon.

this may be too far east for you - but i LOVE the sushi at eastern pavillion- in stony brook. it's close to the intersection of nicolls rd and route 25a.

Bonbori on Elm St & Musashino on Main St are the other 2 in Huntington that I've eaten at.

KuraBarn is on NY Ave - south of 25A
