I just came back from the japanese buffet in Commack and I am very mad.... me and FH got there 15 min (we didn't know that they closed at 10) and when we ask them if we can go they say that it wasn't a problem well FH and I eat fast b/c we didn't want to abuse (around 5 more table had people) well the employers at the restaurant where so rude with every body bringing the check book and open it in the middle of the table and asking if you where going to serve again or not and to finish the night when FH serve himself deserve and came to the table they came to the table and told him to pay BEFORE continue eating his dessert (it was 10 on the dot) FH got so mad that he pass his credit card and when they brought back the check they stay next to the table waiting for him to sign the check. At the same time in another table they were rushing a couple while the couple was eating to go and get what they want for dessert. Tell me about rude if they dont want costumers on a friday night until ten they shouldn't open for dinner.

that's unfortunate that they were rude to you...
although i guess i can sympathize... i work in retail and my store closes at 9:00 PM... and these people continue to come in at 8:59 and expect us to help them... like we don't want to get home to our families. I'm sorry but i'm sure 8:59 pm is not the only time that they can possibly get out to shop.
i know its different with the food service industry, but with the retail industry, if we stay open for an extra 15-30 minutes, the store actually winds up losing money because we're using labor hours, and the people usually don't buy anything anyway. It's ridiculous.
but, theres no reason for them to be rude about it. there's a nice way to approach any subject.

the thing is that we ask them if it was ok for them to take care of us or if no we can leave (it wasn't a problem specially b/c FH work for retail and he know how it feels) and the lady on front say that is OK that on weekends they usually close 15 min later than usual. That was what piss us more, we had ask.

oh that *****! I could see if you came in and took your time but you asked if it was ok and rushed to eat. Some places have no class at all.
