yes i find it VERY hard especially in the humid summer weather, but not so much at all in the fall and winter.. in the summer i just use the glade plug ins use the pet fresh rug deoderizer and light candles... i have the dogs washed once eveery 5 weeks... even with all that my apt does not always smell the freshest.. i dont like to use bleach on the floors ( i do in the kitchen and bathroom but thats it) its not good for the dogs to breathe that in at all...
what do you do? do you find it a problem to?

omg such a huge problem here...
I have actually had to keep people away at times. We also get them groomed and cleaned about every 6 weeks, sprinkle the doggy powder on them, and obviously clean but sometimes its just like ugh!!!!!!!
Anthony is like addicted to the bleach but I hate the smell and like you, find it horrible for the dogs. We are painting right now and threw out the old nasty couch. So hopefully that helps a little bit. But now I gotta keep them off the new one.
I swear, the best time for us is Christmas with the tree. The pine smell overpowers them and it always smells nice and fresh!
But my dogs are BAD! I dont think anyone has dogs like us!!!!!

I don't have dogs, but, I truly find Yankee Candles to be the most efficent thing to making the home smell great, they really last forever & smell great!

I am a true believer in Frebreeze. I spray it everyday and you can't smell the dog at all.

Do you have a/c or just a fan? Make sure you keep your a/c and/or fans on at all times, even when you go to work. Also, I am not sure where the dogs sleep but if they have beds make sure you put a cover on them and wash them 2X a week. If they sleep on the coach or your bed make sure put a heavy duty sheet on that, and again wash it 2-3x per week in this heat. Brushing the dogs outside instead of in the house will also help. I agree that you should use the Pet carpet cleaner/deo stuff and vacumn the house/apt often. Make sure to keep the dogs out of wet bushes/shrub areas too. I think sometimes if you just cover up a smell you don't really solve the problem. If the problem really presists ask the vet. they may know a remedy that we are not aware of.
