Re: Swan Club

I liked it. The only negative for us was the location. My side is very spastic when it comes to driving. Some of my parents friends have come to our house for over 15 years and still get lost! I didn't want them driving around the North Shore aimlessly.. which we envisioned happening.

I loved the cocktail room. The room that is glass enclosed. Another thing that we didn't like is unfortunately for us, our wedding we wanted in March and in early March the flowers are just starting to bloom. So what good is having a beautiful place with gardens where there were no gardens ya know?

I have been to a wedding there once and will be going again for another one in May. The cocktail hour was nice, the room was pretty, it was warm, so walked the gardens. It was the reception part that was a disappointment. What sticks out in my mind, is the fact that they have up to 3 weddings there at a time. When the best man was giving his toast, the music was off... coming from the next room over, was blasting music from their other wedding being held there. I couldn't even hear over the music to hear the speach given by the best man. The walls are paper thin. Also, one last thing... When they came out with the meal, there wasn't one service person for your table, but just a bunch of them carring all three choices asking everyone... 'what did you order' and shouting 'chicken over here, give this one a chicken' Then for us who ordered the beef 'I need a rare one at this table' Very unprofessional and I just thought it was very unclassy. Never considered looking there for myself. You make the call though.
