Swan Club?

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I just looked at our first venue this week! The grounds at swan club were absolutely GORGEOUS but I was not 'wowed' by the inside. I would love to get input from those of you who have used the Swan Club and what you thought about the following:

~ size of Camelot room...we are having around 180-200 and when we looked at the room it was set up for a party of 185 and it looked REALLY cramped so I was wondering how it felt during the reception with the room all done up with guests! (My fiancé has been to a wedding there and he absolutely loves it and said it didn't seem that crowded but I would like to get a female's perspective!! )

~what did you think about the front room or 'lobby' if you will?? I think it looked like you we're walking into someone's living room!!

Thanks so much for all the input!!

Swan Club?

My cousin got married in the Swan Club and service was excellent. The grounds are gorgeous and room was beautiful. There was another wedding taken place at the same time and I never saw the other bride. Omg the food was excellent I had salmon and steak and it was delish!!!

Good look and very to negotiate.

Swan Club?

I just got married at the Swan Club on 9.25.14 and loved it! The staff was great and my guests loved the venue, food and especially the garden. I must admit, I did have a concern for our 'Garden Room' ceilings being kind of low since my fiance and brother-in-laws are tall ranging from 6'3 - 6'7. So we were happy our 6'7 groomsman fit in the 'Garden Room' comfortably. LOL ;o) Since my wedding was on a Thursday, I had the whole place to myself so that was awesome! Also, Swan Club's rates were very reasonable and we really didn't want to break the bank with our wedding.

In regards to the lobby, it does look like a living room. We were told on our tour there that the Swan Club was a former mansion owned by this guy. You can even see a picture of how it looked back in the early 1900s in the entrance way, if they still have the photo up. I think that's what we liked about the Swan Club. It didn't have that 'hall' feeling. You felt right at home.

As for the Camelot room, I think 180 can work in that room based on viewing it several times when we would visit the Swan Club.
