My last QOTD....I'm so sad! I had so much fun the past week (and change) getting to pick all your brains.
So I'll keep this one light....
It's come to my attention at work that our UPS delivery guy has a new nickname for me. Alicat. He's kind of a tool, so it's a little creepy. A harmless idiot, but an idiot nonetheless. So now the past few days he's been coming in the door, 'where's my alicat?' Excuse you, MY???? Bleh At least he's young, but that's totally not the point.
So do you have any creepy guys in your day to day lives and activities that hit on you or otherwise say things that make you squirm? Could be the grocery store checkout guy...the gas attendant...the mailman, etc. And do you tell FH?
So far I haven't told FH the cat bit...not that he's the type to ACTUALLY show up at my job with a baseball bat, but he'll certainly huff and puff and make a stink about it, so unless it continues for much longer, it's on a need to know basis.
Discuss!

No on in my day-to-day life that creeps me out.
But at my first job when I was about 18 there was this security guard that was the CREEPIEST. He'd always call when we had to allow someone in and tell me how cute my voice was lol. And he'd ALWAYS follow me outside when I went for a smoke. I was soooooo glad to leave that job!

Our mailman at the office calls me Kitten. Heis from Queens so we bond over being New Yorkers. However, lately he has been trying to talk me out of getting married. Saying all this really depressing bad stuff about marriage and it not only creeps me out but kind ticks me off. Just because your marriage didn't work out and you are unhappy doesn't mean that we will be! So stop trying to rain on my parade and I am NOT your kitten!

I wouldn't say in day to day run ins but it does happen sometimes. I was at the gas station the day it snowed really bad. Some guy offered to pump my gas, mind you he didn't work there, because it was so cold and snowing. I insisted that I could do it myself but he walked to the pump and started pumping. He started making small talk about my car and I somewhere in the convo I said my fiance. He says oh I'm sorry to hear that. I gave a and he told me if I had any single friends to send him to the gas station What a weirdo

Oh I have a doorman that is a little creepy. .. always used to ask me to be his gf and say why wouldnt we end up together. . now that FH is here he is not as bad but still a little off - also makes lots of other innapropriate comments about money, etc. . that I won't go into here.
FH HATES HATES HATES him. . and he is so mellow and non-violent but wants to punch this guy. .

The guy at my local 7-11 kept asking me out for about a year. Once I got engaged though I flashed him my ring and asked him to give up ... then I moved. Every time I go back though, he asks me how the wedding planning is going.
Super nice guy and not really creepy at all ... actually pretty funny. But ... meh, you know?

When I worked in production there were a lot. Its sort of a job hazard in a world with skeezy guys everywhere. The directors were always the worst. Since I switched to education and went back to school i haven't really encountered any but all the guys in my classes know that I am engaged.
Although there is the Indian guy in the Fed Ex store that tries to marry me off to his son every time I step foot near the place.

I HATE that. I HATE when men stare at you in such inappropriate ways. YUCK. One day I am going to get murdered because I always talk back to them. I tell them to F off.

so finally the kid decides to make an appearance at my job... complaining of god only knows what aches n pains... and he was just doing it to see me, week after week.. why oh why do i get blessed with the weirdos? i think he actually brought me some flowers too... im sure they were the dead ones from the floor of the shop he worked at LOL

I posted this once before but here it is again. The Dunkin Donuts guy actually said to me in the drive throught 'I like you, you are beautiful, why do you have a boyfriend?' I just chuckled and ignored it and it was christmas so he gave me free donuts....then I saw him again a week later and he was like 'oh my favorite customer again' and he gave me a Coffee Coolatta for free. I told FH ALL about it and he laughed and said 'as long as he is saving me money by giving you free stuff , let him look. '

Re: Swan Song QOTD!!!
Thankfully for the past 8 years I have worked with only women and gay guys so I don't have to deal with that..Yay for cosmetics executives!
Its funny though, one time the fire dept came to our office (FDNY holler!) and all the girls' jaws dropped. Drooling at all the testosterone we never get to witness day in and day out.
This was, of course, before FH came around! Now I get to tease all the other girls whenever a straight guy enters the office. LOL
