swatch from the BM dress??

Can you belived that the bridal salon will not give my girsl a swatch fro there dress, they said to cut off a piece from the dress...was anyone else told to do this???

Unbelievable. That is bull. All they have to do is request a swatch from the manufacturer.

All the business we give these salons.. you would *think* that they would be more accomodating

alot of manufacturers make you pay for swatches now. the girls will get here whole hem if you request it at there fitting. and if they give you a swatch from somewhere else it may not be in the same dyelot and there shoes would not match exactly.

My salon ordered a swatch to be sent to me when we placed the order for their gowns, but when I asked for a swatch for my dress, I was told the same thing, needs to come from when they cut the gown. Seriously, how can I get a veil if I don't have a swatch of my dress?

I had to pay for a swatch of my dress as well as the BM's had to pay for their swatches.

I ordered extra fabric to make a sash for the FG and it cost $110!!

My BM dresses are through Davids Bridal. They have discontinued the color I am using so I went a bought a discontinued dress that I can use. I am going to cut it to use for the wraps on the BM bo-k's. Cost $39

I even offered to pay for a swatch of my girls' dresses and although my person requested one, she said the manufacturer is strange and will not always send.

I plan to just cut the bottom of the girls' dresses when they come in (& then will wrap their bo-k's with it too).

I actually ordered an extra yard of fabric from Bill Levkoff. I ended up using it to wrap the stems of the bouquets of my BP. Looked great.

yeah, i've really found throughout this whole process that it is unbelievably hard to get simple things, even when you're laying out a lot of money and giving people a lot of good business
