Sweet 16 Question

Fh and I have a sweet 16 to go to at the end of June. It's being held at Jericho Terrace. How much $ do you think is an appropriate amount? I'm close friends with the girl's sister. She's one of my BMs.
I haven't been to a Sweet 16, since I was 16 so I have no clue what to give!

I have cousins who are all in that 16-ish age range and they all want money for bdays. If that bothers you, what about a gift certificate?

for my cousin's sweet 16 i got her the Tiffany key chain and had her initial's engraved in it - it was a huge hit - i think with the engraving and everything it came to just about $100 - my sister ended up also getting her the crystal box with the bow and she really liked that too!

I think $100 should be fine! Or you can get her a Gift Certificate for the mall or something! What 16 yr old girl wouldn't love that?

i agree- i think 50-100 is good enough - i gave 100 b/c it was family but you couldn't believe the loot this girl was leaving with! it gets nuts! meanwhile her parents have get to give me an engagement gift

i just mention the tiffanys thing...b/c I work with 15/16 year olds...and they always come in the monday after their sweet 16 with tiffany bags (the blue bag to hold their pictures...) and jewelry

you can order online...and also there is a store in Manhasset...but I so understand...money is MUCH easier!

Erica: DUH!!! I totally forgot there was a Tiffany't in Manhasset! I live like 15mins from Manhasset. I'm going to get her something from there then. I just didn't want to have to go all the way to Manhattan.

Yeah, I would have loved something from Tiffany's but that was 11 years ago. I got about $30 a person, more if they were my best friends ( closer to $50)

Tiffany's sounds like a lovely place to get a gift

jericho terrace for a sweet 16? I would say 75 to 100 for the gift or money.. sweet 16's are the time when girls get alot of jewelry.. sometime tiffany's would be a nice gift!

I'd say a present worth $50 - 100, I have gone to a few since I've been older and we usually give Tiffany's necklaces or bracelets.
