Sweet Sixteen venues and ideas for extras

Sweet Sixteen venues and ideas for extras

I am having a devil of a time finding venues for my daughters Sweet Sixteen party. It doesn't bring up too many catering halls when I google 'sweet 16', and if I google wedding venues, most of them are too fancy or do not cater to a party of this type.

Is there a way to get a complete list of all venues ?

I also want to find out where I should look for those little extras if I don't know what I want yet. I came across the photo booth and the Oxygen Bar,. Both are interesting, but I still want to look at more options.

Her birthday is the first week of August, so the party will probably be the weekend of July 30th. I really do not have a final count of guests, but I think it will be at least 100, with a possibility of 150. We are in Bethpage, so I would prefer it to be in Nassau County.

Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Click me

When I was in high school, a lot of girls had their sweet 16's at local clubs......Zachary's, Savannah, etc. Also some of the catering halls like the Pompei in West Hempstead are good choices. And Yacht and/or Country Clubs are good choices. Even VFW's or KOC's.

I do like Zacharys, but they are a bit expensive. By the time I got done, I would be spending 10K and that is without the gown and dressing the rest of my family, the makeup and the hair.

The other bad thing is that you cannot bring anything in, such as flowers or decorations or add ons. You have to buy it from them.

I have never heard of the Pompei. I will look that up.

The bad thing about this is the date. It is right in the middle of wedding season.

BTW...I see that your wedding is at the north ritz. I was just there in July for my nieces wedding, and the food was incredible! The Viennese table was out of this world and by far the best I have ever tasted! Your guests are going to be talking about the food long after the reception is over!

Try Verdi's of Westbury. That's where I had mine! My little sister had hers at Larkfield Manor last September and it was very nice (but Suffolk County).

HTH!
