sweetheart table or head table??

I like the idea of both for different reasons but wondering what the majority thinks?

Not sure what you mean!! We are sitting by ourselves at our own table. I don't like when the bridal party sits at that long table with the bride and groom. We are just going to have the bridal party at tables close to us, so they can sit with there dates and we can be alone while we eat dinner.

That's what I think we're goign to do. I think that's called a sweetheart table. I don't like the head table either as it's not fair to the bridal party to be away from thier spouses. I like the fact that everyone can enjoy each other and US, being the bride and groom having our own time together too. :) Just wanted to know what other people thought too :)

We're doing a sweetheart table & then placing our bridal party throughout (most likely)....all of our bridal party (except for 1 gm/bm) are married to e/o anyway. Or we may just make them all sit at a separate table WITH their spouses.

We were going to do the head table, but the more I think about it, I like the idea of the sweetheart table or dais (I think that's what it's called) I want that private time with him, just to take everything in!

We're having a sweetheart table! Our BP will be sitting with their SO's and family, I just think it's better for everyone that way.

We are doing a cross between the two. We will be sitting at a sweetheart table, but immediately to our left and right and the very top of the room will be our respective bridal parties with their SO.

Not for nothing. I waited a loooooooooong time for this day and it may very well be the only time in my life where I will be in the spotlight again with FH. I voted for sweetheart table because I think the focus of a wedding should be on the couple who got married. It is much easier to have that focus when you are set apart from the rest.

sweetheart table... i like the idea of the two of us sitting together, but i also like the idea of allowing teh bp to sit with their significant others. we will have BM and their dates at one table and GM and their dates at another. I don't think it's fun for the BM or GM or their 'others' to be sitting solo for dinner when they have a guest at the event! JMO

We're doing a sweetheart table b/c I've been in wedding parties where you sit with the entire bridal party up front, and my FH has had to sit alone, with strangers in some cases. So, I wasn't really fond of that, so we nixed that from ours. We also decided to mingle the bridal party amongst guests and not do a bridal party with dates table.

OOOps I hit the wrong thing...I always get confused..Sweetheart Table and then a head table for our families on either side
