Any of you btdt moms get really swollen? My feet look like fred flinstone and my fingers are like sausages! This week I had to stop wearing my rings, and none of my shoes fit. I am only 25weeks!

Re: swelling
I'm almost 21 weeks and my shoes are beginning to bother me. I have noticed lately that it is easier to put my rings on after hand lotion. Yikes!!

Re: swelling
I was lucky I did not swell with my pregnancy, I just got FAT!! But seriously def let your doc know about the swelling, so they can be sure it's perfectly okay. I know most pregnant women swell, but in some cases it can be a problem. You're more than 1/2 way there!!

Re: swelling
I had to stop wearing my rings very early on - like at 8 weeks. My feet aren't swollen, but they did grow a size bigger (8 1/2 to a 9 1/2). I had to buy new shoes and sneakers to wear. That's not from swelling though, that's from your joints relaxing and expanding from all the hormones!!

Watch you salt intake and make sure to drink ots of water.. My feet did grow a 1/2 a size and before i was diagonsed with GD nothing fit,, and the weird thing is now that i am on a restricted diet.. everything fits again... Try to avpid Pizza, Chinese, frozen foods , soups, these are all LOADED with sodium...But i would tell the Dr...

Re: swelling
Somedays I look like the Stay Puff marshmallow man!! My feet/fingers are so swollen some days, I can feel the skin stretching. Very uncomfortable and very painful. Try keeping your feet elevated and avoid salts at all cost. Don't try to force the jewelry on, it'll make the swelling worse in some cases. Water, water, water and plenty of walking (this will help the circulation of the fluids and work them out of your body). I've been doing this for a few weeks and it's helped incredibly.
