I saw an ad in the pennysaver today for CHCC advertising it as an actual country club where people can join and swim in the pool! When we booked I asked my banquet manager if there were members of the country club itself and she said no. Maybe she said that because I wouldn't be affected in November, but I'm not sure.
Anyone have any idea?

November defiantly.. But I can't see them closing the pool every weekend in the summer that there is a day wedding. I'd be pissed if I payed to have a memebership and they said this

You can definitely swim there - it's a real country club. I was at a wedding there once where you could see the pool chairs stacked up in a corner.

They are open Memorial Day to Labor Day monday to friday 9 to 5 and wed to 7

Wow - so do they just close the pool to members every weekend during the summer? that doesn't make sense. but can you imagine people swimming in the pool during your wedding?!?! i would FREAK out.

When we went there, he told us that the country club is open through Labor Day, and people CAN use the pool,, even during events, which was a huge turnoff. But the country club will be closed in November, so no swimmers.
Could you imagine having your CH and some guy does a cannonball next to you?!

When I went to look, there WERE PEOPLE INT HE POOL... so I don't know why she told you no, but people DO belong there as members and they do use the pool as an actual pool.
However, I aksed about that, and they have specific time people can use the pool on weekends when there are weddings. So there won't be people at the pool when you're getting married.
Well, that's what I was TOLD anyway... you were also given info which conflicts with what I was told., so I coudln't tell you what the truth is.

WOW. Thank god i booked in November! That really is a huge turnoff. We should definitely make sure that summer CHCC brides are aware of this.
