Swiped from the NW board: Is your FH a chivalrist?
It annoys me to have people open doors for me - whether it's the car or others. Holding the door, is nice and FH always does that - and I do it as well. He is considerate in many ways...but in ways that I am capable of doing for myself, he knows to let me do it. I don't like to be 'cared for' or doted on...for some reason, it irritates me.

mine opens the car door for me, and most regular doors, and pays for things, thats to the most extent of what he does

Not really, but it's only because I squashed that side of him. My mother was hard core about being independent as a kid and so I think I have a thing about being taken care of. But he does little chivalris(sp?) things.
