I started a new job not even a month before. It was fine.

Are employers usually pretty understranding as far as needing time off for the wedding, etc, so early in the game? I'm worried b;c I'm graduating in may and so then I'll be lookong for a job, but I'll need all this time off in december and or january for the honeymoon. I guess being up front with them at the interview is the best way to go?

Did you tell them in the 1st interview that you were getting married in less then a month?

I didn't wear my ering to interviews. You need to get to the last interview before you divulge that info. By then they've already determined that they want you. If you tell them right away, chances are you won't get a shot because there is a dark cloud over you.

I actually have a job interview tomorrow morning and I'm getting married in May! I wasn't looking for a job...the opportunity just fell into my lap, so I'm going to go and see what happens.....I figure that if they really want me, they will work around my wedding and honeymoon....it's not the ideal situation, but I'm sure something can be figured out

good idea about not wearing the e ring - i'll take mine off before tomorrow's interview

how did they react when they found out that you were getting married in a month? did you wait to tell them after they offered you the job?

I told them when I got the job offer. What are they going to do, tell me I can't get married and honeymoon. They accepted it. Work hard and they won't mind.

if it's 1 month before- try to swing it so you can start after the HM- then quit your current job 2 weeks before

stress free HM- not having to think about anything!

Yes, I just started a new job this week and I let the employer know at the interview I was taking off for 2 weeks for my wedding. They were fine with that.
