SWR: 60th wedding anniversary..

Can you imagine! My grandparents are celebrating theirs in September.. I just do not think that a day like this can go by without a major celebration/acknowledgement..

There are bout 20 of us in my immediate family.. and i so want to do something really REALLY NICE.. any ideas? suggestions? RH that will do something for 20 people?

My grandparents will also be celebrating their 60th, but in October!!!! I know what you mean, it's unbelievable!!!!!!

For their 50th they went and had their vows renewed, and the immediate family went to see. Then they had a big party, basically like a wedding reception since their actual wedding was on a much smaller scale.

This year I don't know what to do. I def want to celebrate it but I can't see us throwing together anything big. Maybe just go to a nice restaurant, see if you can get a private room for 20 people.

Last year my grandparents celebrated their 60th anniversary. We had a big party in my Aunt and Uncle's backyard. It wasn't anything ridiculous but they were surrounded by all of their friends and family and I really think that was all that mattered to them.

We had a cake made with their wedding picture on it and the invitation was their wedding picture with the marriage certificate on the back. it was really cute!!

ooh like that idea.. the marriage certificate on the back of the invite.. i dont think they'd be open togetting their vows renewed.. but i'mma suggest it.. maybe a little ceremony in the backyard.. with a catered reception..

my grndmothe is hard headed.. i cant see her agreeing to walk down the aisle again.
