i have sinus issues and i am constantly getting off balance with pressure on my ears. most ents i go to... well take a sinus spray and thats it!! the reason i am really trying to find a good one... is bc i dont want to be walking down the aisle swaying bc my equilibrium is so bad!! lol ( also flying ***** when my ears hurt)
if they take empire direct hmo it would be very helpful. i ahve had sinus surgery to 'open' stuff up.. but my ears are still snap crackling and popping!! lol

I'm totally the same way..... if you're willing to travel a little bit I have a great ENT in Bay Shore in Suffolk. I actually just went for a sinus CT yesterday so we can figure out what the hell is going on in my nose/sinuses. FM if you want the number.... I'm not sure if you need a referral or not... I guess that depends on your insurance.

i had surgery to fix my septum and turbinate reduction..which means taking um tissue out of my nose to widen the passages to breathe better.
docs say i have non allergic rhinitis which is basically chronic swelling of the sinus passages for some unknown freaking reason.
my cts always come out fine though..but tests showed in teh past that my eustachian tubes close up alot.
sigh. lol

Dr. Edward Katime. He is in Garden City on Stuart Avenue. Also Dr. Youngermann's office in Plainview.
I am a hearing aid dispener / Audiologist and we work with many ENT's.

Dr. Skeltin is the ENT to a lot of stars and did my surgery quite a few years ago.

I have an awesome ENT but he is in NYC. If you want more information FM me. I have seen so many different doctors for my ear problems and allergys and he is the only one who has helped! Maybe too far for you though.

I went to Dr. Katime. he told me he thought I was losing my hearing without giving me a hearing test. Scared the crap out of me! Turned out I have inflammed sinuses and a deviated septum causing my ears to feel full. Although I didn't have a great experience with him, I know some who have. I now to go to Dr. Pearlman in Great Neck. He did more tests and made the diagnosis.
