SWR: Assumptions of following tradition
So FH & I went to vote this morning...and went to sign in...so we are like...we both live at 1 Anywhere St...but my last name is B___ and his is P____...so the older people working there find us...and one of the ladies says 'Oh should we change her name for her?' So i politely say, 'Well we're not married yet. And even when we are I am not changing it'...you could just feel the 'horror' in their silence..first that we are 'living in sin'...and then that I would not follow tradition of taking my husband's name! .haha...when the older lady helping me says 'that's ok...my daughter didn't change her name either!'...and said it to me in a 'you go girl' manner....just thought it was funny ![]()
