SWR - friend is acting weird.... or is he?

So FH's friend is acting a little weird, IMO ... tell me if it's just me making things up, or if it really is weird.

The friend (let's call him J) invited us last week to his BBQ on Saturday ... i write a msg on his FB wall to him today and ask if it's still on cause i haven't heard anything. J writes FH and I a FB 'email' saying it was postponed. But i know there were others invited to this bbq so why are only FH and me on that email?

This friend also bailed on FH's bach party last minute because he had 'double booked' himself. but he said he'd pay whatever money he owed anyhow (though we're still waiting).

I think the motive behind his weirdness (though FH doesn't agree) is that J RSVPed to the wedding with a plus one and i had to tell him he's invited solo. I think he might be kind of mad about it ... but FH said he spoke with J and J said he totally understood ...

so is this weird or is something off here?

(ps: sorry this is so long lol)

Is he usually flaky?

If not, seems pretty strange to me.

The BBQ email doesn't bother me...maybe he'd already spoken to other people? If I asked a question, I'd expect that only I would be getting responded to.

As far as the guest-thing/Bach party goes, its possible he's perturbed about it, in which case FH should ask him about it.

i guess what bothered me about hte facebook 'email' is that i asked him originally on his wall .... so why reply in a private message? it's almost as if he doesn't want anyone else to know it's cancelled .... or maybe i'm just over-analyzing it

he's not usually flakey though .... but i guess he's had his moments in the past ....
