I am trying to get my hair healthy by the time I get married. I know I have about a year and a half...but my hair is damaged BAD!! I guess 7+ years of a flat iron on the highest setting 1-2 times a day can do some damage (i know i shouldnt be laughing about that)
But anyways, do any of you girls know of any good products that I can use to help my hair get healthier?? I am only straightening it 1-2 times a week now on a LOW setting.
TIA!

Re: SWR: Hair product for burnt hair...
I am in the same boat. I have been going to my salon every few weeks for deep conditioning treatments. I really messed my hair up by using the CHI Iron and Blow dryer. They are way too powerful for everday use..but once I used them once, I just cant go back!!! So addicting..because the results are always flawless.
Aveda has some products for very dry hair. Go onto their website and look under 'extra treatment' for a conditioner. I also find that if I put their 'brilliant emolliant finish' in my hair before i staighten it...it prevents burning. Just make sure you don't get any on your face. I swear to god...every time it hits my face I get a zit!
I've also heard that Keraste is awesome. Loreal puts it out.
Ebay sells all of these products for a lot less than salons...in huge 32oz containers.

Re: SWR: Hair product for burnt hair...
Trust me it cant be that bad. Ten years ago, when straightening became big...I went to the salon and had a straightener put in (this is before the chinese straighteners came out). Well let me tell you... it did sooooo much damage to my hair. A week after i had CLUMPS falling out at the base of my head. As it grew in, it looked like Dennis the Menace in the back. I could only wear my hair in a pony tail for a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
