I was contemplating keeping up w/ them but personally I dont have the patience or time to do it--then one broke today watching my nieces & so I tried soaking them in nail polish remover & succeeded in taking 1 off (along w/ 90% of my real nail underneath. I filed them down, but HELP, how do I get them off w/o having to go to the ER!

Cin, you make me laugh.
You need nail polish remover WITH Acetone in it. You will have to soak for a while. You can go back to the nail place and soak. I dont think there is a charge but you should get a manicure so your nails look nice and shiney and healthy after you remove the acrylic.

yes, you have to soak them for a while. Be ready to be in shock with your 'real' nails.

You might have to just go to the shop...my MIL can never get hers off yet my BIL's girlfriend, she can just pop those things right off!

Dont worry, the ER is not necessary.
I am doing OK, just real stressed lately. But I guess this is normal.
T & I is still closed however, the windows are now blocked out so you cant see in and there is a POD in the parking lot. So I guess they really are redoing the place. I really need them to open ASAP or else I am going to blend right in with my dress.
But on a good note...... 46 more days for me.

you need straight acetone.. soak them, let them get gooey, then file the melted acrylic off... keep doing that and they will come off safely.
BUT, put the acetone in a glass bowl inside of another glass bowl filled with hot water.. This will help keep your fingers from freezing..

The shop I go to has a machine that you dip your nail in. It removes them faster.
