Alright, so I wrote a post last week about my shower that was last Saturday. I explained that my sister missed her plane and did not make my shower. Well, now she wants to come in this weekend to see everyone(last minute of course). I am going to be so HAPPY to see her and my niece but...... My FH and I have been trying to paint our apartment for 3 weeks. Every weekend something comes up. We were going to do it all this weekend because we have furniture that is going to be coming. Also, some of his brothers were able to help this weekend. Now, that she is coming in we are not going to get anything done cause I am going to want to spend time with her and my niece, naturally. I just feel like we keep procrastinating. Did I mention as of June 1st we are paying for an apartment that we are not living in. I am so THRILLED and Disappointed at the same time!

Hmmmmmm, is there a way where you can do both? Maybe during the day, hand out with your sister and your niece and at night, paint? Would that work?

what if maybe yoiu set some time aside to spend with just your sister and niece, maybe later in teh day so that earllier you can help with the apartment

why not have the boys do the painting while your sister and niece & you go out and have some girl time?
then later on--you can come back and help the boys. bribe the guys and tell them that the more they get done--you'll be sure to bring them beer and chicken wings or something. guys like that stuff.

I would try to spend time with her, since she went out of her way to come see u. Im sure she must miss you.. Hopefully you can try to balance 2 things What time is her flight and what time are you starting to paint?

LOVE this idea! talk to your sis and let her know what's going on. it would kill me to spend another weekend not being able to get things done w furniture n stuff on the way already. ask her to help out later on and get the guys to work during the day! hope it works out!!

it's definitely ok to feel that way! i know that between my schedule and FH's schedule, we never seem to get anything done. did you try talking to her about it? maybe she wants to help, and you could spend a couple of hours painting and do something fun the rest of the time she's there?

Hey ladies, Thansk for your suggestions. I will see if she wants to help but my niece is only two and she won't be able too. She would also run a muck! I don't think we are going to get much done because we are going to have to hang out with the whole family (my two sisters, grandfather, etc). It just ***** that she had to pick this weekend. We will just have to deal. I will let you girls know what happens!
