The fairfield chain allows dogs! Theres alot in Suffolk...they might be in nassau too!
They only allow dogs under 20 lbs. Offer to pay an extra, separate deposit for the dog and have them meet the dog. I have a pit mix that most landlords run when I mention it. I started telling them a boxer mix (he is a pit/boxer). I got lucky and found an awesome landlord who not only alowed the dog but watches him too!
Theres a lot of buildings in Great Neck that allow dogs... not sure which ones though
There are a few in Levitown, and Westbury. What kind of dog do you have? I know of quite a few places who have no weight restrictions, but they do have breed restrictions...like no pit bulls, etc.
We lived in Long Beach in a building with our two pit bulls. There are quite a few buildings close to the ocean that will allow them. Drive down Shore Rd. and have a look.
