Re: swr... medical tanning???
My sister has gone tanning for her psoriasis. The UV light does make it better. I have no idea if it would be covered through insurance. My sister has always just gone on her own to a tanning salon so I don't think that would be covered. But I do know that they do UV therapy in the dermatologist office which is probably covered by insurance.
Hope that helped!

Re: swr... medical tanning???
Yes - i have gone tanning as recommended by a dermotologist.... and no, my insurance didn't cover it. He didn't right a script for it, he just advised me to go, etc. And, yes, it did help - - Not sure what your 'thing' is, but I tend to have some issues especially in the winter time - while there is dry heat everywhere inside, which is not too uncommon. The concentrated UV helps the issues caused by the severe dryness. I bet you that whatever it is, the tanning will make it go away! Also, as the weather changes...
Give it a try... all in all, tanning is not an expensive thing.
Good Luck!

Yes i have and no insurance did not cover it. They should have a booth at the derm's office. It's not for tanning but for UV ray treatment.

Re: swr... medical tanning???
I actually have gone tanning for medical reasons, but I never thought to check to see if my insurance would pay for it. Thats something I should look into. Im wondering if it would be worth the ins to pay for though because if you still have to pay a co-pay it will just be cheaper to just buy a package at the tanning salon. The tanning salon I go to has some really good packages for pretty good prices.
