OK I really need to figure this out... so I'm driving in from out of state for my bpics which are next Friday.. I have the opportunity to stay at a friends house in NJ Thursday night and my appointment is Friday 9am. That means a 44 mile trip including 278-E over the Goethals, belt parkway east, and then the cross island up to queens Friday morning.
Is this just insane to try and do for a 9am arrival time?
TIA!!

Re: SWR- NY traffic question
not insane but it's rush hour from like 7am to 10am. I would leave your friend's house by 7:30 to be safe, maybe even 7am and if you have extra time, go to a DD for a coffee.

FYI: The SI Expwy literally doesn't move going eastbound in the mornings. It has taken me 2 hours to get from the base of the Verrazano (on SI) to the Throggs Neck bridge (via CIP) when I've had to be there at 9am.

Could be very very hectic & stressful... I may leave earlier and have extra time so you don't feel under the gun..

Re: SWR- NY traffic question
OMG, this was my problem this morning!!! You'll hear about it in a post soon... They closed the LIE like 20 cars ahead of me (dead stop) and I was almost a half hour late to my session!!! I am still so upset about it.... If you do this, leave with A TON of extra time!
