SWR (Sorta Wedding Related): Healthy Snacks

I <3 chocolate, which is a problem for a bride-to-be. Does anyone have any healthy alternatives for when my sweet tooth rears its ugly head?

I LOVE Lara Bars! They're made with fruit and nuts and that's it! I find them much more moist than Cliff Bars. My favorite flavors are the PBJ and cherry pie, apple pie is pretty good too. They have some, I think, that have chocolate in them, haven't tried them yet.

Thanks for the tip! Do they sell Lara bars at any old supermarket, or do I have to go a Trader Joe's type store?

I have the 120 calorie Jello pudding cups which are great in a pinch. I had one today to get me past the 3pm crash.

Re: SWR (Sorta Wedding Related): Healthy Snacks

Those Fiber One 90-calorie brownies are actually not too bad. They come in three different flavors now and they often satisfy my chocolate cravings nearly guilt-free...

I'm a HUGE junk food person, and I do a lot of apples with peanut butter or 100 calorie packs of brownies/cookies. Honestly, you can eat chocolate, just in moderation. I count calories Monday - Friday and eat what I want on Sat-Sun. A few weeks into the calorie counting, you won't even be craving that stuff as much.

I typically try to count calories during the week, but there's so much junk food at work that it's hard to resist the temptation, especially now with Halloween just right around the corner. Yesterday was really bad! I was like a bottomless pit. I just think I needed to get it out of my system. I'm on my way in with 100 calorie granola bars and fruit.

I also got out of the habit of logging my calorie intake in my My Fitness Pal app. That thing really keeps you honest!

Re: SWR (Sorta Wedding Related): Healthy Snacks

i love chocolate too! I usually buy the fat free pudding cups and the swiss hot coco mix. I love hot chocolate and that brand has a pretty good diet version it doesn't taste too fake like some others can!

My sister likes to cut up bananas and coat them with the diet hot chocolate mix and then put them in the freezer for a few hours (i don't like bananas but she swears these are really good).

It seems like the fat free pudding cups and diet hot chocolate have come a long way. I did Weight Watchers after I gained the freshman 1,500 in college, and I tried the diet pudding cups and hot chocolate. BLECH! Maybe I'll give them a second chance.

Special K makes a chocolate pretzel bar. They're 90 calories and the best of both worlds if you have that chocolate/salty craving!
