SWR- Spinoff - Britesmile

Funny that I saw the Go Smile thread, because this morning driving to work, I was thinking of making an appt at Brite Smile.

Anyone try it? Is it worth it?

TIA!!

Maybride - What exactly do they do? Does it hurt at all? How far in advance should I do it? I was thinking a month before...

I got my teeth whitened at my dentist's office three years ago for my sister's wedding. I don't know what the name of it was but I had to go to his office and get this stuff painted on and then sit under these lights for an hour and then he gave me a mold and these little squirty things and I had to use them every night for like a week.

It workedn soooooo well. My teeth were sooo white and still are I have to look for a picture from my sister's wedding. It made such a difference. I think it is totally worth the money. JMO

About $600. You site there for an hour in front of a special light while you have whitening solution on your teeth. They first put wax on your gums to protect them. It did not hurt, but my teeth were very sensitive fot a few days after. A month before would be perfect. Just stay away form coffee and red wine!

I'm a registered dental hygienist I would go with the take home tray system from a general dds office. The trays are always yours to keep at home. It's not a one shot deal and usually less expensive (I can't speak about pricing for all offices just the ones that I know of!). If you smoke or are a coffee drinker you're prone to get more staining SO most people would like to do a whitening touch up a few days before their wedding. The take home tray system allows you to do that and is usually less money. In my opinion both systems work well. The tray system you have forever you just keep the solutions in your refrigerator. Initially you whiten 1 to 2 weeks. Wear the tray while you sleep. Then you do a one night touch up as needed. But it's always available to you in your home. Touch up kits are inexpensive. Any questions just ask me. Hope I explained it ok!!!!! Whitening is real nice no matter what system you use your teeth look awesome in pics!!!!! This is just my opinion as an RDH
