SWR: Spinoff from Curve - Ladies Workout Express

I currently belong to a gym by my house but it is very guy/weightlifting oriented. My mom just joined LA Fitness and wants me to join there.

But, I was wondering if anyone work out at Ladies Workout and can give me some inpute in the classes and prices. I'm thinking about joining the West Islip one.

Also has anyone tried this and curves? Which did you like better.

I'm not really trying to loose pounds per se. More of just a tone up.

Thanks~

I belonged to a regular guys gym...then i went with curves. I think curves is great for losing weight...but as far as toning..you might be better off with the regular gym/machines!!

I've had the opposite experience w/ Curves.. it's been good for toning up for me, but I haven't lost much weight.

In October I joined Ladies Workout Express in Middle Island, just as they were being bought by Aspen Fitness. It's still exactly the same place though.
I like it - haven't noticed a huge difference yet, mostly because I didn't start actually going right away!
In all honesty, I went with them instead of Curves because they were cheaper.

I am a LA Fitness member (but the one in lake success) and I love it! I think curves is more for people who want to lose weight but dont' quote me on it because I've never been.
