SWR: the economy and implications for housing and rental markets

i know this is considered more of a buyers market, but has it affected rental prices too? has it extended to house prices in the NY area too?

trying to find a silver lining in this scary time

It is just starting to hit here-- BUT in a market like this- demand for rentals goes up with so many losing their homes & so few qualifying for mortgages it pushes demand, which in turn will push the price of rentals up
