How many of you ladies use Trip Advisor when going on vacation? I'm always iffy about booking a hotel until I read the reviews on that site...

Trip Advisor is a traveler's BFF. It shows you pics that wasn't posted online by the hotel or from travel websites and gives you a real insight where you're going. It does help and what makes and breaks trips for me.

I don't know about that (I usually book through expedia.com) but you should look for the reviews and pictures. Some would go far and take pics of bad things like mold and geckos roaming around.

I use it to get ideas but I dont beleive everything thats written by people because everyone has different standards and experiences.
For example I used it but when I went to the bahamas I read so much negative stuff about my hotel after I booked it so going there I was scared. Well I have to say, it was the one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in.

Yeah it happened to us when we went to Cabo. There's this uber beautiful resort we were planning to go and there were some negative reviews. Turns out the best place we went to so far.

we won't book a trip until we go to Tripadvisor. Such great advice....AND I love the fact that you can see actual pictures....instead of the pictures that are all done up to make the places look PERFECT........

I use tripadvisor too...but take the reviews with a grain of salt. To each his own!

i agree...don't go crazy reading about all the bad reviews. everyone is going to have something good and bad to say about their vacation.
