I wanted to get BM dresses with my girls in October, and I thought it would be nice if we could all go see a show afterwards (either on broadway or off broadway). Does anyone know of a website where I can order tickets at a discounted price? Thanks!

If you are not picky about the show you can go to the tickets office in times square - then you get them 1/2 off. We do this almost every time we are in the city and we have always gotten tix.

Do you know any teachers? We always have these discount coupons sitting in our faculty room that offer great prices.
One of my BMs is a student teacher, but I don't think she gets to hang out in the faculty room.

How early can you get them in advance? I wanted to get our dresses in October, so I was thinking in the next few weeks or so setting up the date with my BM's and getting the tickets right away. That way everything is all set.

I second BroadwayBox.com. They list all the discount codes, so you can call in advance and get a specific date and a choice of seats. So much better than waiting on a line for hours with the possibility of leaving empty handed!
TKTS is at most day before and that's only if you go to the Seaport location. Times Square is strictly day of. Playbill.com has specials. If you are a teacher or military you can subscribe to TDF.org. It's an online service that sells discount theatre tickets. They are the foundation that sponsors the TKTS booth, but if you join online you can buy tickets like a week or two in advance rather than day of. It's like $22 or $23 dollars to join and the tickets are usually $32 for broadway musicals and $20 something for plays. cheaper for off broadway. They also have lincoln center shows, ballet, opera, etc.
