It was back in `92, but my sister had SW make her cake. It was beautiful -- and the worst cake I have ever tasted! It was truly inedible -- but of course, it was also quite some time ago. If taste matters to you, I would suggest you try some first (if that's possilble). Good luck!

Sylvia Weinstock Anybody???-Fortzando

Well, im having my wedding at the Harrison House, and Sylvia Weinstock does the wedding cakes there....so i will be making an appointment...but i was curious to see what brides experience have been with her if any....

Sylvia Weinstock Anybody???-Fortzando

When I spoke to the Harrison House I was told that a Sylvia Weinstock cake was additional. I was only told this the second time I went however maybe what they are offering you is different.

Sylvia Weinstock Anybody???

Hi! She is amazing, but also try Outrageous Cakes and the website is cakediva.com and tel# is 212-722-0678 or 201-216-0123!! Charmaine can do anything and she has tastings a couple of time a month I think! I originally wanted a a Sylvia Weinstock cake, but after trying Outrageous cakes, I was sold. She does all of the cakes for Soap Operas and Celebrity weddings also. Good Luck! Ayanna

Sylvia Weinstock Anybody???-Fortzando

I got married at the Harrison House too and had a Sylvia Weinstock cake. The cake was gorgeous. The only thing was that I asked Gail for the top tier to have a lot of pastry flowers. Afterwards I found out that the top tier had real flowers (they sure did look real, but that day with all that was going on I didn`t notice). It wouldn`t bother me so much, but since Sylvia Weinstock coordinates your cake with your florist to match your flowers, my florist provided these flowers. And I paid for them! I planned my wedding in a short period of time and had a death in the family close to my wedding date, so perhaps I wasn`t on top of everything as other brides would be. Just be certain that your cake is to your specifications. Good luck!
