Have seen a bunch but still not sure. Looking for someplace pretty and tasteful. Of course good food and not crazy expensive- what do people think of Great Neck, Temple Judea in Manhasset , Jericho and Temple beth el in Cedahurst?

Re: Synagogue help
I got married at Temple Chaverim (on May 24, 2009) in PLainview and it was fantastic. The food was amazing, service excellent, and good prices. We looked at about 20 places (both temples and non-temples). FM me if you want more info.

Re: Synagogue help
Hi! I dont know too many but I was at Temple Judea when I was young and I remember it being pretty nice. Im actually getting married on Shelter Rock Road too. Not sure about the others you mentioned sorry. Temple Beth Shalom in Roslyn/East Hills is very very nice, I would check them out too.

Re: Synagogue help
Take a look at East Meadow Jewish Center. It's GORGEOUS! And I'm not just saying that b/c I'm getting married there.
Others you should check out: Sephardic Temple (Cedarhurst) Temple Beth Torah (Melville) Temple Avodah (Oceanside) but only if you're ok that it's not Glatt Kosher Temple Chaverim (Plainview) Shelter Rock JC (Roslyn) Woodbury JC South Huntington JC (Melville)

Re: Synagogue help
I'm not Jewish, so I'm not going to be of much help. BUT....I did go to a wedding last year at the temple on Shelter Rock Road...not sure what it's called Everything was wonderful. The food was great, the place was a great size...it was a great time overall.

My friend got married at Temple israel of Lawrence and it was amazing and beautiful!!! They recently renovated the inside. It was such an amazing wedding!! I think there are a few brides getting married there on here too. You should definitely put them on your list.
