Is it common for the hall to omit this table? I just realized in doing my seating that there is no 13! I made the table # for nothing...darnit!!

Some halls are superstitious about the number and omit it. Sorry you made the table # for nothing, that stinks!

I had a table 13, I also got married on the 13th of the month... don't see anything wrong with it IMHO....just a silly superstion
The table #13 on my floor plan was in a bad spot so I omitted it.

yes. this is true at some halls. And my in-laws told me to make sure i didn't have 13 people at a table! i would have never had thought about it!
I numbered my own tables and omitted #13, only because I didn't want anyone who was superstitious to have to sit at that table....
never even occured to me, I'll have to check my seating plan!

I never heard of that. But then again I just realized that hotels don't have a '13th' floor.
