Table arrangments

How did you girls who are married do it? Did you make something on oaktag to get the full effect? Or did you just write out table 1, 2 & number down to 10.

I am curious what the best way is to get the full effect & seat the immediate family as close to us as possible.

your rh gives you a sheet of paper. It has the layout of your room. It has the tables, the numbers closest to you and every other table. You have to give this sheet back to the rh before the wedding. But in the circle which is the table, you write in it the amount of guests at each table and the amount of favors that have to go on the table, if you are putting them on the table. This was the best way to see which tables were closest to us and how it would look day of.

But I had a notebook, and i put down all the tables with every guest at each table for my own records

I think you should be Bride of the week if you have never been....even though I am not one to crown anyone. But I would vote for you.

thank you so very much i was botw in like 2006 or beginning of 2007 hahaha so i already had my time but again thank you.

Guess its good that i am sick today and didnt get to do anything i SHOULD've been doing oh well these errands can wait hahaha

YOu can do it in microsoft excel or use the seating chart function they have here on LIW! click 'account' and then 'wedding guests' - you have to add every guest and yes it takes a bit of time but once you have them all added, you can hit 'seating chart' and place them at tables. VERY easy to move around too. easier then writing and erasing and moving on paper!!!

just make sure you find out from RH first which tables are closest to you. For example table 5 was closer to us than table 3, and also know which side of you table 1 is on and table 2.

Sometimes HIGH numbers can be closer to the b&g than a lower number so make sure you know how your RH sets up the room bc if you just seat ppl by 1, 2, 3, 4 and all that without knowing how your room is set up, those whom you want closer to you might end up further
