i know this has been done before but for those of you naming your tables, what did you name them as?

good question....this is going to be a toughy when it comes for me with over 25 tables

FH likes movies we've seen. (he saves all movie stubs and he wants to put them on the signs on the table)
he also likes,
-the places we've been too

We're naming our tables, too.
We decided to name them after daily phrases, special names, and special spots. Those that really know us will enjoy our inside joke.

what do you mean? for the tables?

Well, I'm going to work on the naming part myself. I'm going to put the number of the table in the background (in a big size, lighter color) of the title of the table.

I am doing terms that have to do with marriage (Love, honor, cherish, affection, eternity, etc.) Whatever you do, make sure it is something meaningful to you and 'goes with' your wedding.

hehehe, i was thinking about those names too....i guess our theme is kinda like fairytale, romance! not like fairytale with cinderella but fairytale like it's amazing...

I would also like to have the words of marriage as the names for tables, but I think I will have them written in Chinese characters, this way I can bring in my culture and if I run out of words I want to use, I will throw in the same words but written in Spanish. FH is Half Spanish.

FH and i met in fire island so the tables will be named after all of the FI towns. ours will be Kismet

I think we're gonna use DIsney Characters, but to make it easier, in alpha order..

So Ariel, Bambi, Cinderella, Dopey, etc...

We are tossing around two ideas for table names. The ideas are the easy part .. its coming up with the table names that are giving us pause

One idea is to incorporate a 'baseball theme' since FH and I are HUGE baseball fans (though we're avid fans of opposing teams!) We've been on so many dates to so many different stadiums over the years, and so many baseball related things have so much significance to us,etc.

Our other idea is to name tables after cities and/or places in both Greece and Italy (I'm Italian, FH is Greek). We're passionate about both of our homelands, and we also figured it would be a nice way to honor both our heritages and families.

Now comes the part where we have to figure out just WHAT NAMES to use for either of these ideas.

We're doing Italian and Irish cities since I'm Italian and FH is Irish.

I went to a wedding where the table names where cities or towns they'd been to together, then they sat the guests at tables that had something to do with them:

ie. town groom's college was in (we went to college with groom) so we were at that one

Las Vegas - they vacationed there together, and groom had bachelor party there so his friends were at that table

Hometowns - their families

NY City - where they work, their coworkers sat there, etc.
