Table Names and Table Numbers

So, I decided that I wanted to do table names. I know the older folks would have a probably with this so I was thinking to do both. For example, I would have a frame on each table and in the frame I would have the name of the table and a number below it.
As far as what I'd name the table- I was thinking I would try to personalize it to the people who are sitting at that table. I think it'll be fun for guests. I know this will probably end up being completely inconsistent with any theme, but I think it's something that people at the table would appreciate.

What are your thoughts on this?

i think it's a bit too random ...

if you want to mix and match, maybe you could use talbe Numbers, with a background image (just image, no text) of something meaningful ...

ETA: but how can you put an image of something meaningful to those sitting at that table, if you won't know who's actually coming until a few weeks before the wedding....?

Well, it won't be an image. The table would be named something accordingly to something that would fit that entire table. For the most part, I think it would follow a 'place' theme. For example, a table with family members from the same town would be named after that town. So something like this is a frame:

I'm doing something like this. The tables will be named after places that are important to us, but they will also have numbers to make things easier.

That's a cute way to personalize the table numbers :)

Our cake topper is precious moments, so each table number card will have an image of a figurine with the title, and that will be the table name. For example: Our cake topper is a bride and groom dancing, and it;s titled 'Can I have this dance' for the rest of our lives. That's what it would read on the tbl card with a number under it. HTH
