We're doing a fall themed wedding, and at first, I was going to name the tables after fall things. However, rethinking this, we're going to have 30-40 tables. I don't know if I can really think of 30-40 fall 'things' that sound like good table names.
So I was thinking of doing movies as table names, and to kind of theme them... (my Dad at Father of the Bride, my cousin Vinny at My Cousin Vinny, college friends at Animal House, etc.)
What do you ladies think? Does it stray to far from the fall theme, or does it not matter?

are you incorporating movies anywhere else in your wedding?? I have seen things like baseball teams, soccer teams, etc, but the theme was placed somewhere else in the wedding also.
I am sure it is fine but some guests may wonder where the movie thing came into play? unless you guys are avid movie watchers?

hmmmmmm.....being that the rest of your theme is fall themed, and since the movies aren't playing a role in the rest of your wedding, I would stick with the fall theme.
You can make up lots of things, such as halloween things, thanksgiving terms, fall wording, etc!

we were going to do baseball players, as we did have mets/yankee ice sculputes and some other small baseball things, but it was just too difficult. Our wedding was overall beach themed so we did island names and it worked out awesome.
I kinda like the fall words better.... i am sure we can all try and help you come up with them!

what if you had leaves designed and you could have #'s inside the leaves? rather than words if you can't come up with 30 fall words.

I don't think I would do the movie idea
thinking about it, with the amount of tables you will have, I think this is the easiest way to go.

Do what you like... We are naming our tables after novels/books we love. We have one friend who is an author so we are using her book for the table she will be at. We are using the library pockets and cards at escort cards, and slipping a metal bookmark in each one as a favor. This is totally 'us' as we are avid readers and alot of our friends are and some even work in book stores.

I'm naming my tables after Ray Charles song aka Renay and Charlie. If you do the movies at tables have a signage with your names as the premiere. That way it all tie in.

my personal opinion, and sorry if im being debbie downer, BUT for a large wedding table names can be really confusing and they are in no particular order, JMHO

What about framed leaves??? and then you can just use numbers.

hmm..i'd maybe stick with the fall themes.... we all can help you come up with words... and to help out with the confusion i would put the # on there too.. ex: table 1 - candy apples
