table naming question

table naming question

ok, i want to 'name' our tables....we think we want to name them with our 'firsts.' now how do you come up with a 'TABLE NAME?' ya know?
we are going to do a seating chart, so lets say it says somthing like this for example...

mr. and mrs. smith
table: where we first met??

i mean, it seems so wordy.....any suggestions?

You could title the seating chart something like 'Stroll down memory lane' or ' In the beginning'. Something to that effect.
Then do the table names
'first Kiss' and location
'First date' and location

We named our tables after shows that we have done since we met.

'Big River'
Heidi as 'Mary Jane'

'Das Barbeque'
David as 'Woton'

and so on.

We're planning on naming our tables with specific details about our relationship (a saying each has, or a location we met, drinks we are known to have, etc). It's more personal to us, and those close to us know exactly what they mean.

wait....ok, so on the seating chart, it will say

'The Begninngs'
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Table: First Kiss

but then where do you put where you first kissed? on the sign on the table??

I think it would read better if the seatting chart had a title....

Our First's.........

First Kiss-Jones Beach
Mr & Mrs Smith
Mr & Mrs Jones

First Date-Mill Park
Mr & Mrs Foster
Mr & Mrs Weber

First Dinner-La Plam
Mr & Mrs Casey
------------------------------------
The Table Signs will only read:

First Kiss
Jones Beach

First Date
Mill Park

First Dinner
La Palm Restaurant

Ok, with those types of names how about changing the Chart Title to read:

Special Moments & Places we have Shared Together....
Our First....

I like all the titles because they are personal and important to both of you.

I think the Special Moments and Place title would be better.....
The Strolling Down Memory Lane I think would be more appropriate for an Anniversary or 50th -Type of Birthday Party......What do you think?

hmmm, see i don't know...i like them both and i think as long as it has something about 'our firsts' in the title, then we should be ok.
i do agree with you about the 'strolling down memory lane' thing though....i think its too anniversary like.

I think is more current in time with your relationship.
