So, as many of you know, I am having a 40's/old hollywood glamour meets Godfather sort of themed wedding. I wanted to do something creative for my table numbers, and I think I may use Italian phrases an words for love instead. I think it would be cute and maybe a conversation starter. What do you think of these:
Tu sei una stella...la *** stella =You are a star...my star
Il mio cuore è per voi =My heart is for you
Ti amo =I love you
il mio tesoro — my darling
Is it cheesy? I mean, most of our families are VERY italian. I want something fun... Be honest :)

are you going to put the english translations with it as well or just do the italian phrases?

I dont think its cheesy...I would do it if Shawn was italian too (but alas, his family is irish...we are alrady having the italian dinner singer guy come in and sing old frankie songs so cant really shove it down their throats anymore than we already are!!) I think you should include the english translation on the table number too, not everyone speaks Italian well enough to know what they mean...

Great idea ! Love the Italian it's so romantic sounding.
I'm doing love themed Broadways song titles as my table numbers. At least that's my idea so far.
