silly question do people get offended if the aren't at an 'important' table number like 1-3?? my parents are divorced so they are at separate tables, both families are huge and want their many tables next to each other, so this leaves my mom at table 3, but the bm's and gm's at tables 10 and 11..... i am thinking about just naming the tables with important places to fix this issue....is ok to just name them and leave it at that without including an explanation of the name on each table card???? thanks

Re: table numbers
well the numbers really dont mean much because its for the RH to know where to bring the food! my side gets the odd #s and FH's family gets even #s.. we are doing names and numbers.. with no description behind it.. it is just places FH and I have been to together... i'm sure the word will spread the day of..

Re: table numbers
We named our tables for exactly that reason. Honestly though, the RH had set table numbers already so my mom may have been at table 10, but it was still the one right next to us. If you think that it will cause a problem then I'd definitely suggest naming them.

Re: table numbers
Honestly, that thought has never crossed my mind. I don't know if people really do get pissy about those things, but giving the tables names instead would get you out of the situation.
I liked the idea of naming the tables, but then I was thinking there is no logical order for people to find their table, unless I make a map and leave it with the placecards.

That's why I also made a table name chart to show everyone where the tables were located. I didn't see anyone wandering around so I guess it worked out okay.

Re: table numbers
I don't think anyone would mind what table number they are at. It never bothered me before.
