is it worth buying or making them rather than just using the ones from the venue???? i saw luminary table #'s but then i'd have to buy those little battery tea lights (btw where do i get those?) or just regular paper ones but fancier than the RH ones, they are both 1.50 each, what do you ladies think?

its more of a personal preference. I am doing table 'numbers' as names of islands/beaches, and printing out a picture of that for the table.
the battery operated tealights I jsut saw in ac moore today. i believe they have them in the christmas tree shoppe too - but dont quote me on that!

the light up ones sound interesting... i'm not sure where you can get those, but i'd def try searching online. You can probably buy them more in bulk online, and it should be cheaper. The fancier paper ones sound just perfect too though... any pictures?

point being - if you have your heart set on something that you cna do at a reasonable price to make your wedding more 'you' go for it! but if its out of bidget or crazy expensive, go with the RH #'s.... honestly - no one notices the little details we all stess about. it sucks, but its the truth unfortunately...

i like the candle idea, they are both cute! I was thinking of thecandle too. i love the idea and the pattern you found. I think it would look really nice. would it be cheap enough to be worth it for you?

im going to use an etsy seller, if anyone wants her name you can FM me ... she is sending me a proof of both. i am thinking the candles will end up costing more, but i am leaving it up to the 'money man' -- FH to decide. Its not a lot of money for either, but he says all my 'little' spending adds up

It's definitely personal preference. I DIYed our table numbers using a graphic that is on all our paper stuff so it tied everything together (printed on 5x7 cardstock and put into a black frame).
I really do love the look of the luminary table numbers. You can get the LED tea lights on a bunch of sites (just do a google search).

hmm actually looking into DIY luminaries ... comes out MUCH cheaper bc the pack of vellum paper os like 8 bucks.
