I know this might sound silly but what side of the family gets table number 1 . the bride or the groom?

Re: TABLE QUESTION
Our caterer gave us a floor plan. We started the table numbers on his side just by logistics. There was no rhyme or reason to it.

Re: TABLE QUESTION
Our hall already numbered the tables. Odds are on the right and evens are on the left. Since I will be seated on the right side of the sweetheart table, my parents will be seated at table 1. I hope that makes sense.

Re: TABLE QUESTION
The odd # tables were on the left in my hall so that's where my family went...but you can do it however you'd like.
eta- I think that my banquet manager also said that the bride's side was the odd numbered side. Might just depend on your hall.

Re: TABLE QUESTION
of course I don't remember which was which right now but when we were at the WM the other night they gave us a seating chart and said which side was for which of our families..I was relieved as I never even thought about this!

Ditto for us too. So my side got table 'Emerald' or '1'.

Re: TABLE QUESTION
we knew that someone would be upset that they were not at table one, so we decided to name the tables after Yankee players. Instead of their names, there will be mini Yankee jersies with each players number

Re: TABLE QUESTION
It depends on how the hall sets the tables up! In our case, the bride's side get the 'odd' numbers, so my parents will be seated at Table 1

Re: TABLE QUESTION
I had his family at table 1 and all the odd numbers and my side was the even numbers. Partically because the even side had more tables and room and I needed the bigger side.
