table # question..

table # question..

ok you know I'm pumpkin obsessed.

and I bough a dremel to carve a monogram in one.

anyway...I swore I'd do SOMETHING wedding related to FH.

so...what do you think about carving table #s in pumkins? I could get those battery operated candles for them and light them up from inside?

I could also have them cut open and the centerpieces put on top.

too much?

I'm trying to envision it.

Thats such a great idea, I think that would be awesome!!! Or maybe you could carve smaller one if the big one does turn out to be a little much, but still use a big one as part of the centerpiece...such a fun idea though, good luck!

I think this would look amazing!!! For me it would be too hard because I'm not very arts and crafty so I would probably use a stencil to paint the number on the pumpkin!! But I can totally see your vision and it sounds great!

FH's brother and wife were married in Oct and they had a monogram carved into a fake pumpkin. It was on the bride and groom table and now every year in the fall she puts it on her dining room table as a centerpiece. It's beautiful, not tacky at all.

You could always give it a try on one and see how it comes out. If you love it then don't worry about what they said, and I'm sure they'll like it too. And if it comes out tacky oh well, at least you'll know.

omg someone did it! that's so cool!

I printed a scrolly # and I'm going to enlarge it and see how it looks on one of my fake pumpkins. Then I'll attempt to carve it. If it *****, I'll toss the idea.

I'm still doing my monogram though.

thanks so much!
