Can you put a table runner on a round table or would that look weird? Would they only look good with either oval or rectangular tables? I am contemplating if i should use one to bring some more color to my tables.

Re: Table Runners
I have actually never seen one on a round table but that doesnt mean anything- it could look really nice. Maybe someone has some pics or somehting that would be helpful. What about using the napkins for some color?

I'm using one on my round tables...just make sure you know the dimensions of the table and have the table runner take up 1/3 of the table or else it will get lost on the table. Also...I would go to a fabric store(or garment district in NYC) and bring the fabric to a tailor to hem the sides. They are MUCHO to get through store or florist....FYI

Re: Table Runners
My colors are brown, pink and ivory and I really didn't want to use color napkins because some of the napkin colors are really bad. I thought putting a nice chocolate brown runner would be nice.....but I don't know how it would look. I know my hall has oval tables. I just don't know if the entire room can be the oval tables to get all to fit.

Wow, I will have to keep that in mind...thank you. I have to look at fabrics and see what I really want. My Aunt is a designer and I am sure she will have her opinions and help me with fabrics.

Re: Table Runners
I have round table and am using claret ( a shade of red) table runners, they are more on the round side and take uo quite a bit of space and break up the all white table setting, plus it looks so very nice with the claret sash/bows we are doing on the chairs. It will also tie into the fabric design they are doing in the ceiling of the RH. Its going to look amazing! I am so excited!

My cousin had her wedding at the Vineyard Caterers and they did an amazing job. Make sure John takes care of you.
